Historic Westfield Day

On Saturday, April 28, 2007, the Town of Westfield rolled out the red carpet to visitors during its annual Historic Westfield Day.

Throughout the day, members of the Westfield-Washington Historical Society and Main Street Productions walked the streets dressed in era costumes promoting community and statewide awareness of local history and programs encouraging historic preservation. President Abe Lincoln (Fritz Klein) even made a guest appearance.

Westfield Washington Schools kicked off the day with a health fair and its annual foundation Underground Railroad Run and Walk. Other highlights included horse-drawn surrey rides, Conner Prairie exhibit, Arbor Day Tree giveaway, Union Bible College Trio Performance and children’s games and activities from the 1860s. The local downtown merchants also opened their doors to welcome new friends.
