The Hoosier Chapter of the BMW Car Club will be presenting a Street Survival Driving School at Carmel High’s stadium on June 21st. This program teaches students, 16- to 20-years-old, how to survive behind the wheel. The one-day course teaches accident avoidance, proper braking, skid control and much more. This is not an ordinary driving school. This is fun! Kids will learn in a safe environment just what their car can do and how to do it.
Students use their own cars, as each car is a little different. For instance, a front drive, rear drive, and all wheel drive cars need different techniques. Some have ABS, some don’t. That’s why it is best you use the car the student drives everyday. A BMW is not required! There will be two classroom sessions, but lots of seat time. That’s the way they learn.
